MKAL season

Hello Friends

Have you noticed that its Westknits MKAL season again? You would have to be living on the moon to avoid the hype. How do you feel about MKAL's? Have you participated in one? Can you handle the uncertainty of not knowing what the finished shawl will be? I have mixed feelings: I did Shawlography and loved everything about it and I do wear it occasionally. Full of anticipation and enthusiasm I signed up for the next year but bailed out at the second clue, I just wasn't loving it. Last year I didn't even consider it and I'm glad I didn't. I really did not like the design. So do I dive in again this year or not?

I have been having fun playing mix and match with my sock wool colours and have come up with some interesting combinations to offer you. There are a few knock out brights to rival some of Steven Wests kits, no neons though, that would be a step too far even for me and some more subdued combinations too.

Moss and Pistachio             Siran and Terracotta Tile

Dove Lake and Palest Blue   Forget-Me-Not and Ink

Valencia and Realm of the Sea Dragon, Wild Flower Meadow and Emerald with some mohair additions

Harvest and Ink and Liawenee and ink, with mohair again.

Desert Sands and Riverstone, shady Lady and Flora and Claret and Riverstone.

 Ash and Crush

Lavandula and Leaf, Amethyst and Leaf or Ink and Leaf.

These are just a few ideas. I sure you would be able to find many more amongst my stock.

This years Go Go Dynamo needs two colours of high contrast 200gm of each and an optional 25gm of mohair.

Dive in if your dare.

Anne
