Settling back into home again
Hello Friends
What an adventure we had! Drove 16,500 km from Geelong up the center of Australia to Darwin, across to Broome, down the coast to Perth, the South West of WA, across the Nullarbor Plain to South Australia, Port Lincoln, Adelaide, Mt Gambier and back to Geelong to catch the Spirit of Tasmania to home. We were away for 60 days and we camped for 31 nights in our tent. Not a bad effort for a couple of older folk.
The colours of the outback were truly astounding in their intensity and the distances so vast. It was wonderful to experience but in the end we were very happy to return home.
I have been so inspired by the colours of the landscape and by the delicate wild flowers that were in abundance.

The Kimberly Collection is made up of
Outback Sky, Kimberly, Spear Grass, Spinifex and Ashes

Sanctuary was inspired by the pristine water of the Great Australian Bight whale sanctuary where we were privileged to view Mother and calf Southern Right Whales.

Wild Flower season was in full swing in WA. This is Coral Pea

and lastly Mulla Mulla. These sweet fluffy flowers were in abundance all across the North of WA. I just had to try to capture those lovely colours.
So back in Tasmania is capricious spring, fresh leaves and colourful flowers abound but I shall never forget our outback adventure.
